Walks at the cabin

It’s surprisingly hard to get steps in at the cabin! The plot is so small compared to Strafford and there just aren’t as many things to do there. Even when there is work to do, it just involves fewer steps to get from one part of the property to another.

I’ve been trying to solve the problem by taking Louisa on walks. We’ve gone up the hill twice, once up past the mostly empty house on the right…where there was still a snow-shovel even in May. Louisa needs the exercize too, she seems to really appreciate it.

The houses I pass are pretty grim; the one was sold at auction, two others look very empty. The one to the left at the top of the hill has permanent residents; I saw one the last time we walked. Fortunately, Louisa did not.
