The blog cover photo is a view of Culver’s field from Miller Pond Rd. that I took a few years ago. This weekend Dee and I went snowshoeing on the east side of the field along the woods. It was pretty exhausting; mostly uphill breaking new powder snow most of the way. We got a great look at large animal tracks and got far enough to see the remains of the barn. We thought this was a deer but it could not have run under that branch…

We did not have the energy to get to the maple tree which they cut down. 220 years old! So sad.
We came home through our woods adjoining Iseult’s house and the third field, over to the basketball court. I was totally gassed by the time we got back, no stamina since I don’t go out for Appa every day anymore.
