It seems to be the part of winter where it just randomly snows from a half to two inches every day. It’s simultaneously annoying and good because it gives some structure to the day. I can keep the dog paths clear if I get out with the shovel and just “plow” with it on a fluffy inch of snow. If you let it go a few days, it becomes a “snowshoe” event again. Besides, Appa is so fussy she won’t go out to the field if there are no clean paths.
The driveway is more of an issue, though. Billy’s not going to come from one inch of snow…but after a few days it becomes something that probably should be cleaned up. I did it myself yesterday with the big sledge shovel, again because the snow was so fluffy. It’s not like I want to pay for plowing, but we could use it.
I also have created a path around the basketball court, which I march around for a while because the road isn’t safe past the property line at Iseult’s. A few passes around the driveway, a quick duck up the hill and back down is all we can do till the snow piles are gone in March. But it’s still nice to be outside.
