Covid walks, part 3

So on Monday after Easter we had a very rainy, dreary day. It was warm (58) but it rained 1.3″ from dawn through after dusk, with very little let up. Around 5:30, there seemed to be a window, so Meg and I decided to try going out.

Window was very short…it was raining before we left the driveway. But since it was warm, we decided to keep on going. Right in between our land and Iseult’s, I noticed that a spring stream was running really hard, and even had a little waterfall! Meg waded through the river and went out to it. We continued our walk and then came home quickly as the rain got worse.

We agreed we had never seen a spring stream run so hard. On the way back to the house we passed a tree that was 40″ wide (I have to go out and measure the circumference). Is it really 400 years old? Mayflower? How cool would that be?
