Meg decided one day to take a walk in the back woods, and Dee came along. We decided to allow Appa to join because she’s such a good wood-walker and we wanted some “Appa only” time. It was a gorgeous walk, no doubt about it, still a little snow in the woods which Appa got into, and she was such a mess she had to be walked home.
Louisa was very good; she sat near the invisible fence wire, even though the fence is currently broken. Unfortunately, Appa figured this out pretty quickly. Fast forward a couple of days…
Meg, Dee & I were walking to the pond; the mud was low on the road this day and we got up the hill and rounded the corner when Meg looked back and just exclaimed (I never saw anyone do that before) “Aughh! Appa!” Turns out Appa decided to follow us on the road walk! She was right behind us. Fortunately, no cars were passing. But she didn’t want to be picked up because she knew we’d go back home.
Meg carried her back and we went back out with the dogs locked in…and only had the energy to do a walk just past Culvers, since we did the hill twice. And I ordered a fence wire break detector.
