Seems like every year I get more scrunched and bent over while walking with snow on the ground We got a fair amount of snow in November which stuck through early December. Mincing little steps, bent over to scan the ground for good footing…not conducive to long walks.
Then it rained twice in December and got to nearly 50 degrees. Most of the lawn was open for a full two days. Appa and Lousia loved it, we could chase and play ball again. I took a walk on the road and went out like 6 times in one day.
But, as is normal, withing 36 hours there was a quick snow and then 6″ over the next two days. I dug some paths out for the dogs for exercise and brushed the puffy snow off the driveways and garage entrances.
I’m committing to walking with my hips forward and taking longer strides when it’s safe, makes me feel better outside. Today, even on a really cold day, I enjoyed the sunshine and got out a few times.
