Fridays in Dover…Adele’s

Friday is my “Adele’s Day” in Dover, since I try not to hit the same coffee place twice in one week to keep things fresh. Very nice coffee shop, a “nine” on the weird scale but I don’t get too much stank face from the patrons. They have pastries from 45 Main in Somersworth, a great bakery across from the old Weather analytics mill.

It’s a really long walk from Pierce St., needing to brave the south side of the road till I get to the car wash, then use two traffic light walk buttons. It’s down near cricket brook and the library, probably a solid 15 minutes of walking. Then I have to cut back down the hill, through the park and past the children’s museum to get to Athenium. It’s usually a pleasant walk, although I was accosted by a drunk asking for money this morning. Summer has brought a lot of people out on the street, unfortunately.

It does make me a little tired by the time I get to work, but it’s worth it…lots of extra steps.
